It’s fall! What a great time to improve yourself! Every day is a fresh start. So maybe you’re not sure where to start? Well, I’m going to practice some healthy habits this fall, and maybe you want to practice with me? Or maybe, you want to create your own. Either way, set a goal! You can achieve ANYTHING, maybe not on the first try, but trust me, eventually, you can. It’s all about practicing healthy habits. Now you might have an off day, or an off week. Maybe life gets a little crazy and you don’t have time. Maybe you’re a little overwhelmed, but I promise you, that’s OKAY. You’re not any less of a person for it!
So, keeping that in mind, lets start this week with some new habits. You can try them all, or you can do one at a time. Here’s some habits I’m trying to practice this week!
- Going to the gym around 5/6 am every morning. Maybe sometimes I’ll go at 10 am. But my goal is to go early, 4 times a week, so I don’t have to stress about going later on. I feel so accomplished when I go early, and also, my gym is small, so I try to go when it’s not crowded.
- Take vitamins! Vitamins often just go right through our body. Also, lets be real, they’re expensive. But a lot of us have a vitamin deficient, for some it’s B12, for me, it’s vitamin D. Because of it, I’m constantly fatigued. So if I can keep taking my vitamins, maybe I’ll feel better! But, do your research, some vitamins aren’t meant for every day.
- Walk the dogs. Not only am I trying to get more steps in, but being outside for at least 10 minutes will help increase my vitamin D levels. Also, being outside is a great mood booster. It’s relaxing to just walk and think through things. Walking also helps if you sit a lot, so take the stairs, or get up and do a lap around the office or house. Get your blood flowing. (Also, being outside means I get to wear my new fall clothes).
- Find the positive. I can be one hell of a negative Nancy. I’ve been practicing seeing the positive in things for years. I can definitely say I have improved, but I can also keep improving. I have a long way to go. But one thing that helps me is remembering a time when I was super stressed, and remember that it all worked out, because after all, I’m still here, and I’m still pushing. So smile, smile right now, and set a reminder in your phone to smile. When something unfortunate happens, laugh and say, “Oh well, things happen,” because after all, this is life, and things sure do happen.
I’m starting you off with four things, because I’m starting off with these four, too. When we create too many goals, we can get overwhelmed and give up. I’ll update you next week on what I achieved and what I didn’t achieve. But we can do this together. Maybe you have some of your own habits you want to create, or you’re own goals you want to achieve. Let me know! I love hearing ideas. And I definitely want to cheer for you!
Kick ass! I believe in you!
Talk to you soon,
